The KCL flotation units are robustly built and very compact, designed for treating large water flows. They remove suspended solids, fat, oil and grease and other (flocculated) materials in a very effective way.
The KCL units work according to both the counter-current as the crossflow principle. The unique design of the interval plate packs allows the water flow to be divided over all plate sections evenly, and at the same time creating a large separation surface inside the unit resulting in optimal separation efficiency. Sand and other settling materials are removed by a stainless steel sediment auger installed over the entire base of the unit.
The entire design of the KCL series is based on avoiding of hydraulic disturbances, obtaining a steady and laminar flow in the entire unit. The unit is equipped with a very efficient micro aeration system. This results in the most efficient separation process, outperforming even larger, more expensive conventionally systems.
