Technical details of the bag opener

• Different from other bag openers, this bag opener is designed to be also able to handle more difficult material like wood or WEEE that normally could be inside the MSW material stream. (For this purpose a full size shredder is normally used with a higher power consumption)
• A slow rotating drum with helical hammers, takes the material along an adjustable counter plate on which robust wear-resistant counter hammers are mounted.
• The side is easily hydraulically opened for maintenance & cleaning purposes.
• It’s easy to refit the hammers with a hard-facing layer without replacing the hammers.
• The bag opener is equipped with both an electric control and a hydraulic control to prevent overload. As soon as an overload occurs the feeding conveyor will stop.
• The drum can be dismantled through the front side of the machine. This allows maximum accessibility for future maintenance.
