Description

The top-end of the axe-like links remains upright when the chain turns a corner, pushing any material that sits in between the links out, thus unblocking/unclogging the screen. This self-cleaning action is assisted by a rotating brush (optionally with a spray-nozzle).

Technical details of a self cleaning channel screen

Robust

Stainless steel links can carry heavy materials without breaking.

Hygienic

Almost entirely made from stainless steel components enabling hygienic cleaning in a (food)-production environment.

Automatic start-stop

A level sensor detects the water level before the screen. The screen starts when a certain high level is detected and stops when a certain low level is detected.

Design features

The self-cleaning channel screen captures the coarse solids from the underground sewer, transports them out of the water and deposits the solids above ground. The screen consists of several chains of interlocking axe-like links. The base of an axe locks to the center of the adjacent axe, making the water flow between the space between the axes.
